Inventor Spotlight
Ed Baxter
Inventor, CPAP Hose Lift

Edward Baxter, a graduate Architectural Engineer out of UT
Austin, and retired from commercial contracting, was shown
to be awoken 27 times per hour in his 2001 sleep study for
obstructive sleep apnea.
On his first trip away from his high headboard at home, over
which he draped his apnea CPAP system hose - he had a sleepless
stay in his motel room, his CPAP hose dragging upon him and
his mask, all that night.
And so, the concept of both a home & a travel support,
to suspend one’s CPAP Hose overhead in bed - was born.
Several prototypes, a provisional patent, a local manufacturer,
a license with a large manufacturer of CPAP hose, a distributorship
for that licensee, then a utility patent ~ trademark ~ national
phase patents - to now, going it on his own with a Chinese
manufacturer – he, through his: Arden Innovations has
manufactured and wholesale distributes his CPAP Hose Lift
to retailers and original equipment manufacturers throughout
the USA, and other countries about the globe.
Ed’s other passions to inventing are: his children,
dancing, grass court tennis (his, the only turf court in central
Texas), gardening, sailing, travel, and poetry.
