There are inventions that are geared towards adults. And then there are some that are targeted for kids. We see all kinds of inventions that are targeted for specific groups of people, so really, why shouldn’t there be inventions made for man’s best friends?! Dogs have become such an important part of many people’s lives. And like people, dogs have different needs too. This is why it isn’t such a ridiculous idea to imagine inventions for dogs. In fact, some inventors have realized this need and have tried to develop inventions for our furry canine friends. Here are just some examples of great ones that we’ve found:
Micro ID collar
we thought it would be good to highlight this first invention as it has also won an American Pet Product Manufacturer’s Association award. The Micro ID collar is a sort of electronic journal that contains important information on the dog that is wearing it. The data on the collar includes the pet’s name, the owner’s name, his vet, home address, owner’s contact numbers, and even the dog’s medications. It’s a great way to return lost dogs back to their owners, or keep track of a dog’s possible needs, just in case you find one.
Dog shower stall
A common problem among many homeowners is doggy bath time. Many dogs simply hate being bathed and will do anything to avoid it, resulting in many a wet owner, as well as wet and messed up furniture. To solve that, someone invented a doggy shower. This is basically a container where you can keep your dog in during shower time. It comes complete with jet nozzles and a showerhead so showering becomes as easy and fast as possible.
Pet fire alert collar
It can be so devastating when pets become victims of fires. This was probably the drive that caused the invention of the pet fire alert collar. This invention helps firefighters locate pets that may be hiding in different parts of the house during a house fire. The pet’s chances of being saved and rescued immediately go up if he has this invention on him.
When we find ourselves outside when it rains, we whip out our umbrellas and go on walking. So, why should dog’s walks be cancelled when it rains? If you have the dogbrella with you, walking can resume as normal. This invention is basically looks like an inverted umbrella, with the covering facing towards the dog. That way, he has some protection from the rain too!
Collar-activated pet dish
When you place your pet dish outdoors, there is always the danger that other animals may get to it before your dog is able to. You really do not want to encourage strays or even wild animals to come into your home. This collar-activated pet dish can prevent that from happening. This pet dish is closed but only opens when it senses your dog’s collar. That way, you don’t end up putting more food out that you should, and you are assured that it is going to the right dog too!
